Retirement during currency of court attachment from salary

Court attachment order for recovery from salary was issued against a Central Government employee. Office deducted the amount as per the court order from his salary and remitted to the Court. After 3 months of recovery, the employee took voluntary retirement. Office informed Court regarding the retirement of the employee and its inability to continue the salary recovery toward court attachment. Is the office bound to hold some amount from the retirement benefits of the employee anticipating further directions from the Court or pay all the retirement benefits as such, as the Court order was only for recovery from salary.
