i lost my original birth certificate and wanted to apply for fresh one using the copy that i have.i was born in a village at the outskirts of chennai and so my records are definitely not with the chennai corp and am 30 yrs old.can you please advise what is the procedure and the expected cost for getting it.is it required to hire a lawyer for this? and if yes, how much do lawyer generally cost..i heard that i need to go throgh some notificatiosn and publications...
is it required to do all those proces even if i have a copy and want to get original out of it ?
