We are a group of 4-5 friends who propose to acquire a 2.5 acre patch of agricultural land in T.N.. The patch currently has 100 odd coconut palms growing in it.
We are all non-agriculturists and our plan is to set up 4-5 residential buildings , int his patch of land, for our use so that we can all stay together as a cohesive friendly group in the years ahead.
Our queries:
1. Can a non-agriculturist purchase agricultural land in TN ??
2. If yes, do the rules permit us to construct 4-5 houses as envisaged above ? Any change of Land use issues ?? If so, who is the local approving authority in the district or the concerned Taluk.
