Property Rental Agreement

Hello there,

I will appreciate clarification on the Residential Property Rental Agreement in Delhi.

I entered into a 11 month Rental Agreement with my Tenant in Delhi. My Tenant has requested me to renew the said Rent Agreement by another 11 months. I am happy with the Tenant until now as there are no issues. But I have been advised that it is not safe to enter into fresh 11 month Rent Agreement with same Tenant immediately after an existing 11 month Rent Agreement.

Is it correct? If yes, then what is the right legal course of action?

Regards

Yameen

yes, you must enter into new 11 month agreement  freshly, previous agreement automatically expired in particular date

There is no problem. you can enter into a  fresh agreement with the same tenant.

Thanks both of you gentlemen for your reply and valuable advise.

Will appreciate your small confirmation that  the answer remain same even if 11 month Rental Agreement is not registered (I believe it is not legally required to be registered).

Apologies for missing this fact earlier.

Regards,

Yameen
