Pricing at tourist places

Is there any rules and regulation regarding the pricing of commodites or items, hotels, transport, eatables etc at the tourist places and at the religious places?

Recently went for vaishnav devi darshan and was shocked to see that the the water bottle being sold at 10rupess more than the MRP, also the juices by the juice walas was sold at  40 rupees  per glass which is availble at only 10 rupees at any normal place. In addition to this the fare at hotels were so high that the normal middle class families could not afford even the 1 room  on rent  having minimum facilities and for information for 24hrs  the rent for this  1 room is 2000 Rupees and notable point is the checkout time is 12:00 noon even though we checkin in evening we have to check out by nextday afternoon  and if we want to stay even 4 to 5 hrs extra we willbe charged for the 2 days rent
