Please clarified?

The Assam Co-operative Society Act, which is also applicable in the State of Nagaland; under section 6 says: No Co-Operative Society shall be registered under this Act unless it is a registered Society: Question is what does it mean by registered Society? Does it mean registered Society under the Indian Registration Act of 1860? Or does it mean that it should be registered society under the co-operative Society act. Can some of you clarified this position comparing with your State Act?

Dear adv.rajeev, in that case the provisions becomes clumsy, as a group of person apply for registration of co-operative society and it is registered by the Registrar of  Co-operative society: the expression No Co-Op society shall be registered as Co-Op society unless it is a registered Society.... I am of the view that it should be a registered society under the Indian Society registration Act and apply for Co-Operative society. Otherwise the provisions becomes clumsy. Thanks for your responds and hope to hear from other members on this issues.
