Petirion withdrawal

May i know the exact procedure for withdrawing a divorce petition because i need to Re-file it in different court, how much time will it take to withdraw the petition? I told my lawyer week back but he is saying it takes time to withdraw.. so pls let me know the exact procedure and time duration required? Thanks and regards Raj

You simply have to file application for withdrawal of divorce petition in the family court and the court will allow it in no time, dismiss your petition as withdrawn. Your lawyer buying time to extract money from you as he knows after your withdrawal of the divorce petition in the Family Court in that district court and file in another district court you'll engage another lawyer and he'll be losing his professional fee.
