Notary divorce is not valid as per HMA and even undr special marriages act untill that compromise is exhibited in the court. However there are some castes and tribal areas where it is valid due to customs as notified by the Govt time to time.

Dear Querist,
Notarized divorce is not legal if the marriage was ritually performed or registered. For Divorce in a marriage you have to file a case against your husband under section 13 or 13(B) according to the Hindu marriage act, 1955
Although, divorce of notary must be verified by the family court, after verification you are eligible for remarry or living with your husband again.
