name deleion from ration card

At present she can not delete her name from the ration card issued to her husband. After getting divorce she can delete her name from the present ration card and include with her parents ration card. To delete her name from the present ration card she has to submit xerox copy of divorce decree.

I agree with Satyaprakash, one suggession, is if at all you delete your name from the ration card, The card may not be valid with keeping only the name of your husband, Then why not apply for cancellation or surrendering of the said ration card, Which may be permitted only after divorce as suggested by Satyaprakash.

 Come to think of it the SBI does not permit deletion of the first name from a joint account unless the a/c holder dies. Second name can be deleted.

Howler? The software does not permit it. The bank said modification is in progress. ONLY 2 years have passed. Software was developed by TCS. The SBI does not know what it is talking about. Naturally, it is the biggest bank of the country!
