Yes, Police officer above the rank of Deputy Superintendent can enter and search any public place and even arrest without warrant any person.

Yes, On any complain, the police has power to trace mobile and check the call details. Even further, on request of private person on setisfying need to do so even the FSL team conduct such operations. But, the process is lenthy and may take some time.

As per my knowledge goes, its difficult to trace the SMS.
