My wife sometimes threatens that she will go to police station. If I video record that incident and with that as evidence, can I go ahead write to SP or DSP stating that my wife is threatening me?

Opinion: Yes you can do....but why she do this repeatedly?
Try to know the cause.

Opinion: If she is behaving like an insane and it's traumatic to live with her,then it's obvious to file such complaint of her act prior to mishappening or any false cases.
Police will write your complaint and tell you that they will enquire,but nothing goes afterwards.
You submit the same copy to senior level of police like SSP,DIG,COMMIS. along with all facts clearly stated what she had done to you and what are threats from her and request to plz enquire this matter as your nearest PS has not enquired anything till now.
