Land Acquisition

Hi,

I have a purchased a site in Bangalore, however, BDA has acquired the property, in 1977, however, they have not been notified in Gazatte and left as it is due to unauthorized construction of the houses.

Can you please clarify what the action I can take further to take possession of the property and construct house?

Pls advise.

When the property was already acquired in 1977,how you can purchase and from whom ? Did you not find out from the relevant record about the acquisition?If the possession is not taken by the acquiring body you can file writ in the HC on the ground that the purpose of acquisition is not fulfilled so quash the acquisition proceedingsYour question is really incomplete to answer because acquisition proceedings have so many stages and your question reflects nothing about your part therein.

Thanks for your reply Sir. However, the property has been acquired by BDA via preliminary notification, but not notified in the Govt Gazzette. Form no.6/1 has not been done.

Can I take some legal course of action on this? pls advise.
