Issues with neighbours

Hi, In the recent past one of the tenants in the neighboring houses have been acting very rough. They threatened to damage property for some inconvenience they have faced rather than just letting us know to correct the same. This is not the first time that similar issues is happening. However, we do not want to go ahead and press charges for the same since we generally prefer to avoid legal issues for small cases. However, I am worried for the family that they could go ahead and cause harm to property and person for small issues again. We do not have any proofs for the trouble they have caused us either. Is there anyway legally that I can register the history just in case further harm arises in the future. The intention is that I do not want to go ahead for a case as of now, but considering the threat the neighbours have made to our house and property, I want to have a legal record that there were issues before. I am skeptical about registering an FIR with the local police because the neighbours could get further rough if the police comes for an enquiry and we want to avoid such hassles Looking forward to a suitable suggestion for the issue Thank you.
