Is canadian divorce valid in india?

Hello Everyone,

I am a Malayalee Christian and I got married in Kerala, India. Since 2015, I am in Canada.

My Wife & I got separated in April 2015 and in May 2016, my wife filed for a Divorce in Canada and I didn't contest/object to it.

As I had not contested / objected to the divorce application filed by my wife, we got divorced and in Aug 2016, I got the Canadian Divorce Certificate.

I am planning to again marry in India in 2017.

My question is, do I have to file a divorce case in India? Is Canadian Divorce Certificate valid in India? 

Any help / guidance in this regad will be greatly appreicated.

Yes it is. You can absolutely remarry in India.
