Internship under a criminal advocate in sessions court – what should i expect?

Hello,

I’ll be joining a criminal lawyer’s chamber and will be attending Sessions Court regularly.

I wanted to know what type of work law student interns typically do (drafting, research, court observation, filing, etc.).

Any advice from experienced advocates or interns would be really helpful.

It is your baby but certainly not a legal query.

You should typically focus on learning the procedural law of the criminal cases. How the court actually works. Try working on those matter which are at their very intially stage so that the learning and the procedural aspect of criminal law is acknowledged by you.

The purpose of internship is to learn the subject on practical issues hence you can ask your senior about the subject to be learned through him/her.

It is impossible that there could be any meaningful response to this query. It is all a matter of the lawyer concerned.
