Interim maintenance case of 125 crpc and dv Act

The lower court asked for 3,000 interim maintenance in 125 CRPC applications. Another case is pending in the DV Act Interim Maintenance Court . What can be the cost above 3000 in dv act case or Dv Act And 125 crpc cost will remain the same????

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the potential costs associated with interim maintenance applications under both Section 125 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and the Domestic Violence (DV) Act. While a lower court ordered £3,000 in a 125 CrPC case, questions arise about additional costs for a separate DV Act interim maintenance application. The High Court notes that Section 125 CrPC focuses solely on maintenance, whereas Section 20 of the DV Act allows for monetary relief covering expenses and losses incurred due to domestic violence, potentially leading to higher costs in DV Act cases.

The High Court observed: “While Section 125 CrPC talks only, of maintenance, Section 20 DV Act stipulates payment of monetary relief to meet the expenses incurred and losses suffered as a result of the domestic violence including but not limited to loss of earnings, medical expenses, loss caused due to destruction, ..etc.
