husband not letting wife live with her

Its been 5 months of marriage.My husband is living in a pg and not willing to keep me with him.so i am living with my inlaws now.my mother in law asked for 55 lac dowry and my inlaws say i have no rights to stay here.what should i do.please guide.

As you are a women, 498 in ipc is more suits you, just file a complaint but remember your husband and mother face bigger consequences, you have every right to stay in your husbands house as you are legally married,

The accused may face imprisonment which may extend into 3 years in and fine, yes you can still live there, please contact a nearby lawyer for more

498 of IPC is the right way for such cases. Also ask for protection at earliest. File compliant for intentionally living in pg and you with in laws.
