NARASIMHAM SINGAMPALLI (ADMINISTRATOR)     15 September 2010

HSA

N T Ramarao made an act to amend the property inheritance--giving right to unmarried daughters.

Now there is an act " Hindu Succession Act 2005" passed by the central government.

I am told that it is in effect now.

But in this same forum I find some advocates giving opinion based on that law.

Does not a central act override the state law? Does it require a notification by the state government to bring in this amendment into force in this state.

What is the applicable act in A.P.?

Please clarify.
