VARISAN
So the first question that might have come in your mind would be what really Varisan is ? So basicalliy Varisan is an official document identifying the lawful successors of the deceased person crucial for transferring proprty and assets.
[Issue of Death Certificates]:
So the process of making the Varisan Certificate begins with the demise of a person . The family member of the deceased must register the death within 21 days of the demise to the Nagar Nigam and if not rgistered within 21 days then additional formalities follows. The death should be reported to the local Municipal Corporation with the medical certificate of cause of death and government id of the deceased. Documents such as bill of hospital bed, form needed to be filled by the family of the deceased and photo of the deceased annexed with it , lakdi receipt and Police Panchnama is verified for the issuing of Death Certificate.
[Issue of Letter from Secretary (RWA)]:
The death certificate is probably the most the most document in the process of making the Varisan Certificate. If the deceased resides in a society, then in that case the secretary of of the society writes a letter of acknowledgment of the demise and that Sceretary is a member of RWA( Resident Welfare Association) andf the secretary endorses the official seal on the letter acknowledging the evidnce of relationship between the deceased and the applicant , residence of deceased and flat of the deceased
[Parshad/ Ward Member issue verification certfiicate]:
When the original letter from the secretary of RWA is submitted to the Parshad and original death certificate is presented before him, then he writes a letter to concerned Sadar Jnapad addressing and verifying the demise of a person and it likes a local verification, letter from the Parshad.
[Submission and scanning of the documents ]:
Now, when the Death Certificate is issued and the letter from the Parshad is ready, the next process is the submission of documents in the Janpad Office which includes Death Certificate, letter from the Parshad , Affidavit of legal heirs on Rs. 10 Stamp Paper and notarization of the same in which the name of the legal heirs of deceased are mentioned. Aadhar card , Voter Id and other government Ids of the deceased and legal heirs of deceased .
All these documents are are scanned by the officer/official in the Sadar Janpad and after the scanning of the documents the officer issues a application number.
[Presenting of Documents before the Patwari]:
This is the penultimate stage of making the Varisan Document. Where the documents such as Death Certificate, letter from the Parshad, and application of Varisan issued by the Sadar Janpad , Affidavit of legal heirs of the deceased are verified by the the Patwari.
Then the Patwari initiates a statement recording stage, where two witnesses are required, who are mostly the neighbours of the or the individuals living in the vicinity of the deceased's residence, with one of their government Id's. Where the witnesses write on the form provided by the Patwari that they know the deceased and his/her legal heirs very well and takes the responsiblity for any event that may be unobvious.
[Final Stage of Varisan Document]:
After the recording of statement of the witnessess then within 3-4 days Patwari annexed its report with the documents , then these documents are sent to Tehsildar and within 2-3 days Tehsildar verifies the details and in the end these documents are sent in S.D.M office where all the documents are carefully verified and after the verification within 2-3 days the Varisan Certificate is issued with names of the legal heirs of the deceased duly entered in the Varisan Certificate.
