How can I check myself the case date in family court?

Is it possible to check next case date in family court without the help of the lawyer? Is it possible to know the previous dates also as I doubt that my lawyer skipped the dates without informing me.

Mr. Sonu

It is possible if you can peruse the 'A diary' which  kept in the Family Court.  But you should know the last posting date or any other posting dates and Case number.

you just go to the court where your case is pending and approach the bench clerk

Dear Sonu,

You can approach the registrar of the Family court or another court. on a plain paper write a letter to the copying section that you would like to have a certified copy of Rojnama for personal use. Rojnama is a document in which court records the daily proceedings.

On the application fix a stamp of Rs.5. The court clerk (Copying Section) will ask you to deposit Rs.50 (approximatley). He wil give you a recipt of the same.

You can apply for Ordinary in this case you will have to Pa Rs.5 Per page and if you apply for urgent you will have to pay Rs.7 per page. The rates may differ from court to court.

Once you have the Rojnama you will see the last date of hearing and you can approach the court clerk and ask him when is the next date.

Hope this clarifies the Doubts.
