I have been working in public sector insurance company.I am female and have served 3 years at Mumbai which is 1400 kms from my hometown. As per the circular for female employees females as far as possible is to be posted near parent/spouse.
As per hr policy of the company I had applied for transfer after 3 years . Usually the company gives transfer after 3 years to respective place of choice to the applicant. How ever I was posted 70 kms away but still I accepted taking for granted their claims that there is no vacancy. I accepted posting for a divisional headquarters at that place and conveyed my acceptance in writing.
However my current office in Mumbai purposely delayed my relieving from duty at Mumbai for two and a half months . in fact a senior official even asked me to forego my sanctioned transfer and continue permanently in Mumbai. He was giving frivolous reasons like u can't be with family forever and hence dedicate my life to the company etc..
In the meanwhile I had communicated about the delay in relief from current office to my new office. Finally after 2 and half months I was granted relief. To my utter shock the new office changed my division headquarters posting to another location just before my release. The new office States that since there is delay in relief from duty the posting has been given to some one else.
For no fault of my own and due to purposeful delay by the office I have been denied opportunity to work at a posting which was sanctioned to me and now it is given to someone else. I feel this is intentional harassment and torture for appeasing someone.
