harassed by society people

i stay with my husband in our owned house, not a rented one. there are two gate in the building..n people were using any gate to entry or exit..bt now they are saying that 1 gate is for entry n the other is for exit..i did not know anything abt this rule of our society.bcoz from today onwards they hv started. today i used the entry gate for my exit on scooty...they say that i will hv to pay a fine of 500 rs....and the watch man stood up in front of our scooty holding it tightly so that we cannot leave the bldg frm eentry gate...there are many buildings here ; but none of them have such rules..what shud i do..bcoz i hv been using only a single gate for entry n exit since last 1 and half years bcoz it was near to my bldg...bt now they r telling me to exit through the other gate or they will fine me 500 rs..i saw on notice board of our bldg that talks abt this rule ...bt it was put today morning...todays date is written on it...bt how can they make such stupid rules..m i supposed to follow their illegitimate rules????
