Grandson creating problem

Hi,

My name is Rajani.  I have a problem for which I need expert advice.  Kindly help

We have purchased a property from  X and Y who are brothers. This property was gifted to both the sons by their father who purchased it from a muslim before 20 years.

X and Y has 5 sisters who have signed release of rights(Hakku bidugade pathra)(kannada).  We purchased this in September 2012 by obtaining bank loan. Two months back X died.  Now the problem is when we tried to sell this property the son of Y approached us telling that X, his fathers younger brother cheated his father and has sold this property and hence he being the grandson has rights over this inherited  property and his grandfather and is threatening to file a case against us.  He says or give me 10. 0 lacs as compensation.   The property is registered in our name and both X and Y had come to registration office to sign the sale deed.

Kindly advise on this matter as early as possible.

Rajani
