I am Indian nationalist and my wife British and we got married in India
We registered our marriage in India with showing decree nisi (In UK there is two step of divorce decree nisi and decree absolute, Its also legal rule that you cant get married again until decree absolute come through).
Now in my wife's case, her X husband was petitioner and she was respondent, All financial matter was sort out between them as it was mutual divorce and decree nisi and court hearing was also done there on 08/August and after that we got married after that on 14 august.
For marriage registration they wanted decree and we submit only decree nisi and marriage got registered.
Now after that i have heard that we did wrong we needed to wait for a bit for at least two months.
Just want to know that is that marriage legal and if its illegal than may i submit remain final document (decree absolute) and can change the date ?
