Hello, I would like to ask if it is possible to receive land as a gift through a 'gift deed' from sister in law. If so, what are the expenses involved to prepare such a deed in the state of Maharashtra? Thanks.

Anybody can gift a property to anybody - on the point of stamp duty and regn fees the registrar will have jurisdiction - he have to be properly convinced that it is a genuine gift. Charges for preparation of deed that depends on professional to professional.

Depends upon market value. Legal fee is indeterminable.
