When Cops come home to teach a lesson for Standing against the system:
We are residents of condominum.
An unpleasant episode took place inside the society where an argument revolving around the first right of children to play in the community park turned ugly when a resident opposing the kids playing games in the park sustained minor laceration on his head (the medical report says so) which needed 7 stitches while fleeing the spot after assaulting few residents. He went ahead and registered a Complaint. The police filed a case under Section 307 attempt to murder, against small children, women (teachers) and men (Scientist, academician, lawyer, retired person), many of whom were not present at the site was filed. Complainant is particularly vicious, wherein he is accusing a senior citizen of having tried to strangle him and then bang his head on the floor.
When residents and independent witnesses met the SSP an impartial investigation was promised through SP but neither the affidavits of the witnesses have been considered nor the mobile location proofs are being considered by the investigator.
Now the result of this FIR is issuance of non bailable arrest warrant against 3 innocent people, who are now being hounded by the police. Policemen claims to have raided their respective houses and warned them of dire consequences.
All that the inhabitants of the area wants to know from complainant and the police department to just enlighten them as to why he has implicated a senior citizen, scientist, academician, teacher, Kids under section 307 of I.P.C. who is neither know each other nor have a common intent to harm him far less to kill
Common Residents are being warned that he has kept his FIR open by registering a case against "Unknown persons" so that at leisure Police may name anybody who dares to cross sword with them. Common people are scared of what happened to these 14 innocent people can happen to any one of them and may find themselves being hounded by police tomorrow & standing alone.
All persons named in the FIR have no criminal track record rather are law abiding tax paying working citizen who have stood for community services for long.
We did file an quashing petition in High Court but the same was rejected stating that the complainant has sustained injury on head.
At this juncture what is teh right step to get immediate reflief from teh mounting pressure of police,
I look forward for revert from experts as its matter of social justice and common people like us who stand against illegalities are being hounded by system and a lawyer who is abusing his knowledge for personal gains.
