Fir procedure for closed account ?

I  had lost my cheque book  in 2009.

I did not report it to bank and took no action on it  .

in 2010 i decided to close my account , Bank told me to  mention that my cheques are stolen lost while closing the account  application .

So finally my account was closed in dec 2010 .

But  i did not  file any FIR  in this case for my lost cheque book ?

can i file  fir  of lost chequebook  in 2012  , After 1 and half year of closing the account ,

( the reason i did not file fir  was because i thought its enough to close  account according to  nia 138 a fact , But  after reading this forum i have found that some lawyers adviced filing cases  under  420/138 etc even after  closing account) .

I donot want any trouble , So is it adviceable to file fir for lost cheque book ? and will police register fir  after 1 and half year of account closing ?  What are the formalities required to file Fir ?
