Fir copy

Hello Experts and my beloved Victims..

Usual stuff... Wife given false dowry harrashment complaint in her home town. I appeared to police station and explained my stand. After few weeks, the complaint was converted into 498a FIR in DSP office.

My parents AB application is pending in highcourt.

My hometown is different from hers. I unofficially heard that the FIR will be transferred from her home town to mine.

1. For applying Quash FIR only for my parents, Do I need a copy of FIR ?

2. What is the official way of getting the FIR ?

3. Will vitamin 'M' work with police to get the copy of FIR ? If at all we get it, can we use it for Quashing ?

1. Yes

2. FIR is a public document; your lawyer can get it easily. Also, you can get the certified copy from the court by paying requisite fee.

3. There is no need for Vitamin M. But if you are looking for shortcuts. Yes, it would work.

Could anybody here please let me know, if FIR which I managed to secure unofficially can be used for quash purpose ? Or we need to submit an certified copy of FIR along with quash petition. ?

Depends on the High Court, but get the certified copy for sure.
