Filing case in consumer court

Dear Sir,

I am residing with my son in the same house which is jointly owned. We purchased a Split AC for which the billing was done in my Son's name. This AC is giving us problem due to deficiency in service on the part of company. I want to file a case in District Consumer Court. My son under whose name the bill was issued is out of country and may stay there for next few years. I want to know whether

a) I being family member/joint owner of the house and using the Article can file a case in District cosumer court under my own name.

b) An E Mail from my son authorising me to file a case in consumer court is sufficient.

c) A power of attorny from my son in my name on a simple paper is sufficent.

d) Power of attorny duy notarized is required.

Thanks

PC Saggi

A POA would be required. The POA shud be executed before and authenticated by Notary Public, or Indian Consul of the Central Government.
