We are four brothers and jointly hold two pieces of land – one of 114 square yards and another of 500 square yards. All the brothers initially agreed to distribute the total 614 square yards equally i.e. 153.5 square yards each. The youngest brother has a house on the 114 square yard land, therefore he got 39.5 square yards out out the 500 square yards plot. Four years ago, I, the eldest brother constructed my house on the street facing part of the 500 square yard plot. At that time, to provide passage to the other three brother, all the four brothers agreed to leave an 8 feet wide gali along the length of the plot. Recently, the second brother has bought the stakes of third and fourth brother in the 500 square yard plot and now claims the whole 8 feet wide passage for himself. In this scenario, I feel that I am at a loss of my own yards and should be compensated for it. Could your please advise what are my options?
