Eviction suit

Dear friends,

The tenant after filing the eviction suit has vacated the premises without payment of rents.  He has agreed in the court to repay the rents due after adjusting the advance money, while handing over the keys in the court and the same was recorded in the order sheet.  However, he has not paid the same even after almost 10 months and is not attending the courts also. Once this amount is received, the case will be closed. But now it is posted for evidence of the petitioner.  Even if the petitioner gives evidence, the case will go on and he will keep seeking time. What should the petitioner legally do to bring pressure on the respondent to pay and to close the case without proceedings.

In case the proceedings of eviction suit are under Rent Control Act and have been filed just for eviction of the tenant then you will have to file a suit of recovery of the amount of rent becoming due upto the date of vacation of the premises together with interest and costs.
