Declaration of subcaste

Hi, I belong to lingayat caste, and ganiga subcaste. However, all the documents like TC contains only my caste, and subcaste is not declared in any documents of mine and parents. Tahsildar is not accepting the community certificate for the subcaste. Please let me know how to proceed further.

For what purpose do you need caste certificate?

My caste comes under state obc, but my subcaste comes under central obc. Hence, it's necessary for me to declare and get the certificate for subcaste, to avail benefits under central obc
