hello
I recently got divorced and got custody of my 9 year old son. My ex husband has not asked for visitation right. so i have some queries
1. Can i change my son name without the consent of my ex.
2. In case if i do second marriage then second husband can adopt my son without the consent of my ex .

1. If you received Decree in Divorce proceeding other than MCD proceedings then you can change name of minor without natural father’s consent. For change of minor search my older post on format. Whereas under MCD you received Decree of divorce then you should one last time refer to paras of terms and conditions and if ‘name change’ without consent is mentioned then you have to seek consent of ex husband to change name.
2. Step father to adopt child from your first marriage needs consent from child's natural (biological) father.
