Court appearance following a summons

Hello,

I have received a summons from a court from another district. So I am supposed to travel there. I had gone almost two years back to the bank at this place to encash bank guarantee issued by the plaintiff. However, the bank officer refused to accept the documents due to plaintiff's interference. Secondly, the plaintiff got the police at the branch and forced me to go to the police station. The police station in-charge grilled me for no reason for almost three hours asking me not to encash the bank guarantee even after telling him that it was a legal instrument and I am only exercising my right. So in short, the plaintiff is an influential person and I am really afraid of traveling to that place again.

How can I convey my concerns about my safety to the court without going there?

Please advise. Thank you.
