Correction of parents names in birth certificate

I got birth certificate for my daughter(got it 1 year back) who is now 1.5 years old.. in the certificate, my daughter's name is spelt correctly but my name and my wife's name were misspelt in surname column.. how to get it corrected?? Is there any legal issues involved in this

What you call birth certificate is actually extract of the entry made in the birth register. What is entered in the register cannot be changed. If a need arises you can go through procedure as for change of name.
