Correcting father name in birth certificate of new born.

Hello,

I am staying in pune. I am trying to get birth certificate for my baby born in July.  When I checked the details with wardoffice, father is wrong in their records. The hospitol folks sent name with spelling mistake which sounded
different name in devnagari (Amaradh, in records VS Amarnadh, actual name). I got the request for correction from the hosptial. I am applying for the birth certificate for the first time with the name of the baby. As the father name is wrong, Is it possible to correct it before issuing the certificate.

Thanks for the help,
Amarnadh.

1. Yes. Approach concerned Ward before certificate hand authenticated.
2. Even Otherwise Wards do cancel and issue fresh one pasting the canceled one in Register meant for the same if brought to their notice urgently.
