Conviction rate in 498a and dv

Respected Members

From various articles and posts on internet I found that in 498a cases conviction rate is 2% or less that means than in 98% cases man wins the case.

Please give your valuable inputs about cases when 498a is used second or third time by wife after reconcilation and what were the conviction rates so far and why this time case is considered to be very strong against the man.

Thanks in advance

regards

victim.

The conviction rate is less but it eats up precious years of life running around courts and wihout peace of mind. The subsequent charge is stronger as it gets a impression to the court that the husband is a repeat offender and time and again complaints are filed against him and inspite of reconciliation he again defaults.

ultimately conviction is still remote as the proofs to hold the husband guilty is basis the statements of wife and her relatives.

So Now is it advisable to compromise or reconcile with such woman if she wants to come back after filing a case and now ready to withdraw.

(assuming that  all persuations, mediations from family and relatives and friends failed and then case was filed as it happens in most of the cases)
