Cheque Bounce- COVID-19

if I have given notice for check bounce on 10.05.20 with 15 days time for payment. The filing of case needs to be done within 30 days after 15 days notice period. Due to COVID-19 situation do we get extension for filling the same? Till when it will be extended and can be filled.

you can submit court petitions through email during the COVID-19. consult your lawyer. He will guide you how to submit through online.

Yes, you can seek extension.

It will be admitted for further proceeding if the accused did not pay cheque amount within statutory period of 15 days.

Limitation shall be extended for the period under lockdown i.e., 24th March 2020 to 15 May 2020 (date of opening of postal service for despatch of notice).
