Atrocity charges

Assaulting a woman belonging to Scheduled Tribe is a serious offence, the action you are taking is not in commensurate with the offence alleged.  Engage a good advocate and file criminal complaint.  Even if you are not in a posiition to afford an advocate, the victim is entitled to free legal aid and get advocate from panel.

I talk to my lawyer and we are going to file a private complaint for atrocity. But pls tell me what action police takes after registering a NC. They are supposed to call the persons whose names are there in complaint. But nothing has happened since last sunday when I registered the complaint. Should I follow up with police station. Kindly advice.

If you want to speed up the matter, file RTI & ask for ATR.

If you want effective answer (but delayed) then write to MHA i.e., the looping method

Just merely registering the NC the police will not act fast or arrest the culprits until they have external pressure to do so.  You were properly advised with the action to be taken in this account, whereas you seem to have done something else on your own,what is the use of stretching this thread so far without bothering to follow the right suggestions?  Learned advocate Mr. Chandrasekar has given proper and best suggestion, if followed, you would have got the results by now.  Atleast now you may advise your advocate with some tips to go ahead with the complaint effectively

I have consult my lawyer he told me to give a copy of Caste Certificate of tenant. Yesterday I got a copy of caste certificate & today evening I'm going to meet my lawyer.

Right now I have few doubts do we need to produce original caste certificate also to the court or zerox copy is enough & husband's caste certificate is enough or wife's certificate is alos needed as wife don't have her cast certificate.

Caste has to be certified in the court,

@unknown123 brother, pls do NOT give any original to police. Even in court you can take these originals ONLY TO SHOW & NOT to submit under any circumstance. If any clarifications reqd feel free to ask ??
