Ancestrial property rights of grandson

Dear Sir,

this is subbarao jaladi writing this mail. my father had bought a piece of land in the name of my elder brother(we all being minors at that time) a very long ago. total we r three brothers, offcourse two sisters too but they don't interfere in this matter. this being a elder one denies share for me n my younger brother in the land. father expired in 2000 n mother is alive but helpless. he doesn't listen to any one fr that matter.

my question is he,being a minor at the time of purchase- why cann't he give us a share when we r also his brothers? he just promised to share at our marriage time n took a u turn now. doesn't want to give us but wants fr himself.

i have a son (only grandson from sons side) can he file a case asking fr right in share. he is 10 yrs old n iam 41 yrs old

kindly suggest

rgds,

subbarao

Mr. Subbarao, legally speaking, your elder brother iis the absolute owner of the property because it is lying on his name since the time it was purchased.  Your son or you or anyone cannot claim it as a right for a share in the property, it will depend upon your brothers discretion to allot you with some share in the property.  Involve family elders fora meeting and arrange for a peaceful solution to this.

Agreed with the above.

Yes. Agreed fully. He is the rightful owner of the property since it has been registered in his name.
