Agriculture land acquisition

Hi Team, In my mother name there is Land and she has received 2 notice from government regarding acquisition. Land was given by my grand mother to my mother and there is will to it. Land was purchased by my grandmother. My mothers brother has sent legal notice claiming half portion in my mothers land after coming to know about government acquisition. 1. Do the government stops acquisition of land because of legal notice served by my mothers brother. 2. Or If government acquires the land even after legal notice can we claim compensation money for half portion in it. Regards, Roop Singh
