Hi Our Apartment in Mumbai is in my fathers name and my name. Unfortunately, my father passed away in 2014 without a Legal Will. The 50% that's under my fathers name gets divided between my mother, my sister and me. I live in the US and will be in Mumbai for 10days to do the legal transfer in my name and sort everything with our co-operative society. Would you please let me know the steps that are involved? The society must have let you know of the documents and procedure.
Basic requirements are Death Certificate, Legal heir certificate.
At your location LOA may be asked.
