May Mother of the world maintain the world

Dear friends, last 15 days were devoted to our ancestors. During this period on Matri Navami was specially devoted to our female ancestors .

Today is first day of Navraatri. Now, 9 days are devoted to mother of universe. If all of you like, I will be quoting a benevolent thought / verses from Durga Saptashati or other epics, every day during this festival.

Today I wish for prosperity, harmony and all round development of the world by following verses:

“Yaa shreeh swayam sukritinaam bhavaneshvalalakshmih,

Paapaatmanaam kritdhiyaam hridayeshu buddhih;

Shraddhaa sataam kuljan prabhavashya lajja,

Taam twaam nataah sma Paripaalaya Devi Vishwam!!!”

Meaning of the above quote-

We bow to that Goddess who is present , as wealth in the houses people having good deeds, as poverty with people having bad deeds, as mind in the heart of people having clear soul, as belief in the good people and as modesty in good family . O Devi give the all round care and protection to the world (as a mother maintains her child).
