Rama chary Rachakonda (Secunderabad/Highcourt practice watsapp no.9989324294 )     31 October 2019

467 is forgery of valuable will. Under 467 - merely forging that document is enough for punishment , even if the document is not used for forgery and no money is obtained by the document - mere possession of the document and intent to use the document is enough to convict.

468 is forgery for purpose of cheating. In this section it is important that the prosecution establish that the forged document was used for cheating and money or services were obtained. Merely because an accused had the document is not enough to convict the accused.
