work in compulsary off

sir/Mam i was employee of MNC pvt ltd company. And my problem is I have to work in festival day. I am working in other district. my hometown was jabalpur and i am working in chindwara. please tell me the law. my seniours says no off no leave what can i do to go home.

MNC cannot violate the law of the land.In this case, what the other employees feel? Concerted efforts could succeed.

Nowhere in your description you have stated that you have been made to work when compulsory off was formally granted to you.

In fact, you have the need to know the difference between compulsory off and festival day. Festival day need not be a compulsory off day for an employee of all the organizations. All that depends upon the nature of the business or industry vis-a-vis the law of the land.

Your employment contract is governed by terms & conditions for which you've accepted and signed. So accordingly you';ll be entitled to leaves, offs holidays on festivals etc. Once you signed the employment contract you are bound by the terms & conditions there in.

You can lodge complaint with the district labor department if the timings and holidays are not being followed by company.

Practically, it would be difficult to remain with the concern after such a complaint, start searching alternate job before proceedings.
