Recall of the supreme court order

(Querist) 07 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
Whether the centre can ask the Supreme court to recall its order, as what happening in Black Money case.
prabhakar singh (Expert) 07 September 2011
Not the center but Parliament can legislate to make judgement of Supreme court ineffective.
Guest (Expert) 07 September 2011
I agree with the opinion of Shri Prabhakar Singh.
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 07 September 2011
Central Government is one of the parties to the litigation before the Supreme Court.
If Supreme Court has passed any order which any litigating parties find the same required to be recalled for whatsoever grounds/reasons, the said party (in this case the Central Government) can definitely approach the Supreme Court for recall of its order. It is more or less akin to review of its own order. It is a perfectly valid legal process.

For example, not long ago, women's organizations made an application to the Supreme Court to recall its comments like "keep" while referring to a female companion kept by men.

I do agree with Ramachandran.
prabhakar singh (Expert) 07 September 2011
It appears i over looked the word "ASK" in the question which led me travel beyond the scope of the question ,hence i stand corrected as the Mr. Ramachandran has provided the correct view hence I RECALL my earlier view.
