How can I know whether land is agriculture or residential

How can I know whether land is agriculture or residential? Broker advice that after paying stamp duty the land will residential. 143 not done for aforesaid land. Already 3 registry done and residential written for that land in bhulekh.Kindly advice whether purchase or leave that land.

1. LAND status can be easily seen in the property's 7x12 extract or Property Card.

2. The Same can also be confirmed from the offices of the Tahsildar and also on ONLINE website of the Revenue dept.

3. Agricultural land can be purchased ONLY by a Agriculturist. NA Land can be purchased by anybody, BUT AFTER proper Title-Search /verification of the Land documents.
