How do i check if my marriage certificate is genuine or not.

Hi everyone, in the year 2016 i appeared for a registry marriage by a commissioned marriage advocate. Post that i went to live with the groom bjt due to huge mental toeture i couldn't bear the pain and left the house. I'm looking for another marriage, i showed my registry scanned copy to a registrar he claimed that is not genuine. I informed the same to this new groom but he wants that marriage certicate to be verified at the high court level and request to issue an unmarried certificate. Can someone help me with this please.

To check if the marriage certificate is genuine or not you can check the record of the registrar of marriages from where it was supposed to be issued. The Registrar record is public record open for inspection on the payment of prescribed fee. If there exists the record of the marriage of which the marriage certificate issued, the marriage certificate will be supposed to be genuine, if no record exists than the marriage certificate will be bogus.

Pay the fee and examine....
If IT is fake then don't spare the posor and impostor that fleeced you....
In future don't fall for lawyers that are commission agents ......even if they show the picture of a very old and sick entity...

You are victim of impersonating marriage registrar, the certificate issued by so-called "commissioned marriage advocate" is fake.
