Depends upon date of voting, which you have not mentioned.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 01 April 2018
1. Best wishes.
2. How does election duty affect your marriage, if your query is not an academic?
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 01 April 2018
either you should apply for election duty on the ground of marriage or postpone marriage after election.

If this, if that may not help you fetch the answer to your academic query.

As pointed out by one expert, you have not mentioned the date of election. Moreover, no election is due in Kolkata, to which place you belong, or West Bengal nearing your marriage date of 19 April 2018.

Still further, registry of marriage is not so complicated process as in the engaged marriage. So, there is nothing that can prove there being any such problem for you.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 01 April 2018
There is no point in arguing with those experts who are giving you FREE ADVISE by wasting ttheir own net connection, electricity and previous time.

either
you apply for exemption from election duty and have to run from pillar to post for the same.

or
you simply perform election duty and have marriage after election. As observed by Mr Jigyasu you are performing registered marriage and the registering authority and his staff may also be busy in election duty.

or you can kick away election duty if your future spouse is willing to live with you as ex-govt employee.

perhaps none has told you that non being present on election duty is a crime.

I agree with Sudhirr Kumar.
