Check with the Police Station if the FIR has been registered against them or not. If the SHO of the Police Station is not registering the FIR meet the SP/DCP of the are and make request to him for the same. You may file application u/s 154 (3) Cr.P.C to the SP/DCP for taking action against the SHO and ordering him to register FIR against the named culprits for dowry demand case. If still no action taken by the Police, you will have to move application u/s 156 Cr.P.C to the Judicial Magistrate Class 1 of the area to order the Police authorities to register FIR against the named Culprits.

It is advisable to you to file a private complaint before the Magistrate court u.s. 156(3) of CRPC. Attach the copy of the report along with the complaint. Do not forget to mention all the relevant facts and circumstances in detail in the complaint. Pray to the court to take a cognizance of the case and initiate the criminal proceedings against the accused. Take a help of good lawyer to put the case strongly.
